Join a group without a Gmail address
You DO NOT have to have a Gmail address to join.
If you don't have a Gmail address, you can still join groups.
You just need to associate your current email address with a Google Account. (comcast, yahoo, outlook, hotmail, etc)
If you don't already have a Google Account
You can CREATE a Google Account WITHOUT changing your email address (instructions at this link)
